Fright Night!

Mike's incredible pumpkin!  Fans of Plants vs. Zombies will appreciate this one.
Yes, he carved this into the pumpkin skin, awesome huh?

Pumpkin's architects from left to right: Mo, Mom, Aaron, Bekah, Emma...ta-da!

Uncle Wesley & Uncle Phil's Pumpkins.  Nice job boys!

Halloween 2012

A Rimington Halloween Tradition

Mike shows up to the Trunk or Treat
in his traditional gorilla garb!

That's Mike in the gorilla suit & Pete on his back.

Grandpa & Grandma's Ghostly Gala

Thanks Grandpa Ken & Grandma Jan-Jan for throwing such a fun party for the kids.
They loved it!  Here are some highlights of our spooky good time.
(my Halloween-isms are so lame, I know...try to grin and bear 'em)

Scary Shadow
Okay, what's really scary about this picture is that even my shadow has gained weight.

Fantastic Costumes if I do say so myself.
Q:  What do you get when you cross a (homemaid) Mountain Man, a ghost, two witches and two bugs?
A:  Us!

What is a Rimington Party without a super cool craft for the kids?

The flour game...a classic!

And the moment we we're all waiting for [drum roll please] The Weighing...not me...The PUMPKIN.

334 lbs! Again, not me...the pumpkin
Can you tell my next goal is to lose a few pounds?
That's 367 lbs. with the toddler!

One word  -  Incredible!

Thanks again Mom and Dad...it was a frightening good time

Mo & Co's Birthday Bash

Moriah (Mo) & Colleen (Co) share birthdays two days apart, so we had a combined celebration for the two birthday girls.
Here's a peek at some of the fun:

Jump & Bounce
 Cake
The best present ever (for Mo): The Backyardigans!
A Castle for the Little Princess
 Yum...frosting

They're Off! (For Now)

No more braces and just look at that gorgeous straight smile!
Phase one is complete and she got those cursed things off last week.  Hooray!!
Dr. Bills is super nice and Emma thought he was really cool.  Thank you Dr. Bills, huh-huh "Bills" it makes me chuckle...ya know, because braces are so expensive.

Here's Emma getting the glue removed from her teeth...this part hurt a lot, poor girl.  She was in tears.  The assistant described the pain like biting into a cold popcicle.
Emma gettting the impression for her retainer.
And by this point she was really mad I was still taking pictures.  She wanted to know why I would even consider taking pictures of something so unpleasant.  I compared the experience to childbirth...later you'll want to remember what you went through.

60!

My father and me, (Gail) when I was a baby.

From left to right: Wes, Colleen, Baby Phillip, and Gail
We didn't really sleep in the same bed.  But it was definitely a cute photo opp of all the kids together.

We love you Dad!
Have a very Happy 60th Birthday!

Here's some more pics for fun:

What Do We Do When We're Off-Track?

Zoo:
If I had one of these at home, would they all stay put?

The polar bear Rizzo.  She liked to show off for the kids.

The zoo was practically deserted...I loved this.  I could get pics of my kids without a bunch of other people in the shot...which kind of drives me crazy sometimes.
I love, love, love this picture!  It proves they didn't spend the entire time fighting.
There was this brief few seconds they all got along.

Gardner Village:
Two for Tuesday = Pony Rides and Petting Zoo $2!!!

Bag of feed = $1, Smiles came free

Mo's Pony, Hannah - um- needed to go potty right at that moment.

 Mo loved this tractor/tire swing...

and she loved this puddle of water!

Aaron didn't want a pony ride...too manly for a pony.
How many pics did I take before I got all of them smiling at the same time?

We also visited the Living Planet Aquarium but didn't take pictures there.  We planned to go to see the Avengers as a family (minus Mo, who doesn't sit still long enough for a movie). But Emma was the only one who wanted to see it.  Aaron and Bekah insisted on staying at Grandma Kitty's house.  I told her that if she's more fun than a movie about 4 super heros she should take that as a compliment.  We have plans to see Ice Age at the dollar movies and a couple more play dates with friends, then it's back to the books.
